Six steps to clubs that are uniquely yours
Understanding the Golfer
The process starts with a conversation about your golf and playing style. Is there a miss pattern on your shots? More distance required? Or maybe more control is needed? Club type preferences, how they look and feel are very important too.
Static Measurements
Height, posture, and stance are measured to determine the ideal club length. A wrist-to-floor measurement helps determine the appropriate lie angle for your clubs, giving us the starting point for the fitting.
Swing Data
Trackman Launch Monitor captures live data including carry and total distance, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and shot dispersion. Clubhead speed is measured to determine the appropriate shaft flex for optimal distance and control.
Head & Shaft Optimisation
Based on the data, clubhead options are recommended to match your desired ball flight characteristics. The right shaft is selected based on your swing speed, tempo, and preferences. Did you know there is no industry standard for shaft flex? Different brands can play very differently while both being regarded as "Regular" for example.
Testing & Adjustments
Try out the recommended clubs on the range to assess how they feel and perform compared to your current clubs. Comparing different shaft and clubhead combinations allows us to narrow the focus on the optimal setup. Testing confirms the correct lie angle and length taken from step 2.
Grip Selection & Final Specifications
Selecting the correct size of grip is important to achieve the most control over the clubface. Preference in feel and desired colour can all be taken into account. When you are happy with the specifications of your new set of clubs, we can finalise the order and your custom-built clubs will arrive very soon!
